Ciampa Fray-Witzer, LLP provides clients with sophisticated appellate and post-trial counsel in a wide variety of civil matters.  In addition to serving as appellate counsel on cases for which the Firm originally served as trial counsel, we have also been retained to defend or challenge the decisions rendered in cases originally handled by other counsel.

The Firm has handled both interlocutory and full appeals from trial court judgments, summary judgments, the grant or denial of injunctions, and agency rulings.  We have appeared as appellate counsel in the Massachusetts Superior Court, Appeals Court, and Supreme Judicial Court, as well as in the Federal District Court of Massachusetts and the First Circuit Court of Appeals.

Ciampa Fray-Witzer has enjoyed outstanding appellate results on behalf of its clients, including the reversal by the First Circuit Court of Appeals of a federal court decision resulting in a multi-million dollar settlement for the Firm’s clients; the reversal by the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court of a superior court decision, resulting in a judgment for the firm’s client in excess of one million dollars; and the confirmation of a significant arbitration award, and the preservation of the dismissal of a major partnership action brought against the Firm’s clients.
